Educational roadmap and School Placement for Chinese family
School Placement
We worked with the family for over six years during their move to the UK from China. The family had the end goal of a top boarding school for their son at age 13 and we worked with them from age five to plan an educational route. Work involved:
- An initial meeting to plan an educational timeline to cover ages 5 - 13
- We assessed the pupil who was coming from an international school background and put in place tuition and exam preparation for prep school entry
- School visits were arranged to five top prep schools outside London, boarding and day
- We spoke to schools about the pupil, explaining his educational background, different curriculum and his parents’s ambitions
- The student was assessed and offered a place at a leading feeder school to top boarding senior schools
- During his prep school years, from age seven, we managed senior school advice and arranged for the family to visit six leading senior schools
- We made all the arrangements with a selected shortlist of schools, keeping them up to date with progress
- A programme of preparation for the ISEB test and subsequent exams and interviews was put in place
- The student was offered places at their selected three schools with a final decision to accept a place at Eton
- The final part of the programme is supporting his scholarship application
Comment from parent:’ I would like to take this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude for your unwavering support and guidance in his educational journey. Your contributions have been invaluable, and I am truly thankful for all your assistance.’
If you are interested in a top boarding or day school at age 13, you should preferably be starting work when your child is aged 8 to prepare for pre testing at age 10/11. William Clarence can put together a programme with the timelines involved and help plan the best route for your family. Get in touch today
