The final part of an Oxbridge application is being asked to interview. This crucial stage marks the culmination of your journey towards securing a place at one of the world’s most prestigious universities. Oxford and Cambridge are unique in the UK university system in that they do not make offers to students without interviewing them first.

For those who have done well enough in the admissions test and with a strong personal statement, interviews are the chance to showcase all the background work that has been done. We understand the significance of this moment and are dedicated to providing our students with the guidance needed to excel.

Oxbridge interviews

Interviews are held in College or online and are both subject-specific and a general interview with an admissions tutor. Interviews are rigorous and designed to test your intellectual flexibility. You will be expected to have very good working knowledge of your subject to the level you are currently studying, but your interviewers are looking for your academic potential above all else.

Interviews will typically take place in December of the application cycle. This means it will be about two months after the Oxbridge deadline, which is 15 October in each cycle.
