Student: A boy aged 8, going into Year 4

Background: 

A family contacted us midway through 2019 looking for a Year 4 place for the autumn term for their son, aged 8. The family were relocating from Ireland for work commitments. 

Their son had done very well at his extremely nurturing primary school and the family wanted a small school with outstanding pastoral care to support him during the move. 

Outcome:

- Our consultant assessed the student and subsequently drew up a shortlist of schools in the family’s preferred location within easy commute to Central London. 

• We scheduled a week of tours when the family travelled to the home counties to tour each of their shortlisted schools and meet key admissions staff as well as Headteachers.
• The family returned a few weeks later for their son to sit taster days and assessments (which he described as being ‘great fun’) and were delighted to receive offers from all three top choices.
